Eden Court has announced that the theatre’s buildings, Under Canvas Inverness and their Summer of Hope programme, will be closed until Wednesday 04 August due to a high proportion of staff needing to self-isolate.
Under Canvas Across the Highlands is not affected and tour dates in Ballachulish and Strontian will continue as planned.
The theatre stressed that their priority at this time is the safety of customers, staff and artists and thanked everyone for their support.
James Mackenzie-Blackman, Chief Executive at Eden Court said:
“Over the course of our closure period we will lose 27 cinema screenings, 10 Under Canvas events, 5 theatre performances, 19 workshops and projects for young people and all the associated income from our Café, Bars and Bistro.
Despite this we will fully honour all fees to independent artists, and pay to our staff, over our closure period.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Eden Court from Wednesday 04 August.”
