STATEMENT FROM PAVILION THEATRE, GLASGOW – 17th March 2020 As we are sure you will all be aware, the UK Government has given advice that all theatres in the UK should close until further notice. Disappointing as this, it is clearly for everyone’s health and safety and are sure if we all work together on this, it will help to contain this current virus. As Scottish theatres were first to close this week, we spent yesterday trying to reschedule dates for various shows but by 5pm, this completely changed as promoters and performers suddenly found that the whole of their UK tours had been cancelled so today it is back to the drawing board and we have to give the various promoters time to now rearrange all the UK tour dates, which is going to be a nightmare for all involved. With this in mind, we ask customers to bear with us until we are in a better position to advise you of rescheduled shows which we hope will be arranged within the next two weeks. By rearranging, it means that you will be able to keep the seats you have, and it will be a straight change of dates. Shows that we are currently rescheduling are: Sasha Velour: Smoke & Mirrors Iain Stirling The Music of Prince Jonathan Pie: The Fake News Tour Lionel: A Tribute to Lionel Richie National Theatre of Scotland: The Cheviot, The Stag & The Black, Black Oil One Night In Dublin The ELO Tribute Show An Audience With Roy Keane The Guilty Feminist Legends of American Country An Evening With Andrew Doyle & Douglas Murray Simply ReRed Shows that are cancelled are: Giovanni Pernice: This Is Me The Real Glesga Dance Mums 2 Where a show is cancelled completely, a full refund will be in your account shortly. If you purchased your tickets by card online or via telephone, then we will process this refund directly onto the card you used for the original purchase. Refunds will take up to 5 working days to appear in your account. If you paid at the theatre in person via cash or card, our box office staff will contact you to arrange a suitable refund. Unfortunately, as we are working remotely, we cannot process cash refunds and can only offer, for original cash customers, a refund by cheque, bank transfer or direct refund onto a credit or debit card. Moving on, we are currently planning to allow staff to work from home. This means that access to the theatre at the current time is limited and to comply with Government policy we will not have box office staff available on site to deal with any customers in person. This is for the safety of the customer and our staff. Contact number for the box office will remain the same 0141-332-1846 and you will automatically be redirected to one of the staff working from home. Hours of working will be Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Emails can be sent to sales@paviliontheatre.co.uk for the box office if you have any questions or enquiries. These will be responded to as quickly as possible. We will update Social Media as much as we can but we are conscious that too many posts might get lost so we will keep these to a minimum at this time with essential updates only. Unfortunately, at this time, we will be unable to answer specific queries on social media and this should be done via the box office. We thank you in advance for working with us in what is going to be a hard time for us all, but we will come through this and out the other side with perhaps some lessons learned and in some cases toilet rolls left over. We hope we have covered things as best as possible and are sure there will be questions that require to be answered so please contact us as detailed above. Good Luck to everyone out there. As someone once said, “We’ll Be Back.” |
