After winning the UK Pantomime Award for Best Pantomime (under 500 seats) for Aganeza Scrooge, Tron Theatre Company is thrilled to present Peter Panto and the Incredible Stinkerbell this festive season.
Written, directed and starring in the role of the sassy and mischievous Stinkerbell, pantomime icon Johnny McKnight returns to the Tron Theatre in another refresh of one of his early works for Tron Theatre Company from 2013.
With a blast of magic from the mighty Stinkerbell, Peter Pan whisks West End Wendy away from the safety of her Byres Road residence to a place full of treachery, deceit and chippies that never close. Welcome to the rambunctious and radgey Riverland!
Here Peter and Wendy must face vengeful crocodiles with teeth sharper than Gordon Ramsey’s tongue; chippies that dare to serve salt ‘n’ sauce, and come face to face in a battle to the death against the evil Captain Hook and bumbling side kick Chai Tea.
Will Wendy ever find her way back home to shop in her beloved Waitrose? Will Stinkerbell ever find her one true love? And will Peter choose to grow up and live in a world that is panto free? There’s only one way to find out..
Peter Panto and the Incredible Stinkerbell will feature original music by Ross Brown, a brand-new swashbuckling set by Kenny Miller and lighting design by Grant Anderson.
The Tron is delighted to welcome back Star Penders and Katie Barnett (most recently seen in Aganeza Scrooge); they’ll be joined by Robert Jack (The Alchemist), Emma Mullen (A History of Paper) and Marc Mackinnon (Macbeth (an undoing)).
Peter Panto and the Incredible Stinkerbell runs Fri 22 Nov 2024 – Sun 5 Jan 2025
